Our commitment
Baggy Trousers UK is committed to protecting the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of everyone who comes into contact with our charity — including the people we support, our volunteers, staff, and trustees. We take all safeguarding concerns seriously and act promptly when a concern is raised.
Who this policy covers
Our safeguarding policy applies to all individuals associated with Baggy Trousers UK, including:
- People accessing our support services

Our approach
We follow the safeguarding guidelines set out by the Charity Commission and the relevant statutory authorities. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is responsible for overseeing all safeguarding matters and ensuring concerns are responded to appropriately.
All volunteers and trustees who work directly with vulnerable adults undergo appropriate checks and receive safeguarding training before beginning their role.
